The Salvation Army’s 19th Annual Flower Power

Silent Auction & Luncheon

Join The Salvation Army for an unforgettable Flower Power Luncheon, back at the Fairmont Hotel on August 4th, 2023.

Join us for fabulous food, views of the City and a highly anticipated silent auction at The Salvation Army’s 19th Annual Flower Power Luncheon. Featuring floral designer Orna Maymon, emceed by KPIX 5’s Juliette Goodrich, and honoring CEO of Union Square Alliance Marisa Rodriguez as the Woman of Dedication, the luncheon benefits The Salvation Army’s back-to-school and after-school programs in neighborhoods across the City, including the Tenderloin, Chinatown, SOMA and the Avenues.

Flower Power has since evolved to support the back-to-school and after-school programs at The Salvation Army’s six community centers across San Francisco. For nearly 20 years, and with the generous support of Flower Power guests and donors, The Salvation Army has been able to support thousands of children from low-income families with new backpacks, school supplies, and after-school programs. The Salvation Army’s back-to-school and after-school programs also provide a variety of physical and educational activities in a safe space. San Francisco’s youth receive homework tutoring, nutritious snacks and dinner, recreation, and enrichment activities, including art, literacy programs, science, and computer work. Children enrolled in The Salvation Army’s community center programs also have access to a gym, dance studio, private outdoor space, and a game room.

For more than 140 years The Salvation Army has faithfully and tirelessly served those who need it most in San Francisco. During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Salvation Army has been on the front lines of an unprecedented health crisis, experiencing more than a 25 percent increase in need. While the San Francisco Bay Area begins to reopen, the need for support remains great as many now struggle with pandemic poverty. The Salvation Army is committed to providing resources and emotional and spiritual support, to the families we serve in San Francisco as we journey through this time of regrowth together.

Thank you for partnering with us in this Flower Power; together we can do the most good.
